The company is seeking a growth-oriented Vice President of People with a track record of transformational HR leadership to join their ambitious and excellent executive team to serve as a strategic thought partner as they spearhead and build the People function. This leader will not only create and innovate the People foundation, but will also support the evolution of the company to meet the constantly-changing needs that come with rapid growth. As Vice President of People, you will be an asset in shaping the future of the business and our People strategy, driving lasting impact for our most important asset: our people.
Role and Responsibilities
The Vice President of People will lead all components of the current People organization and future strategy. This innovative, business-oriented leader will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive and sustainable HR approach in support of the company’s growth strategy. The Vice President of People will be a steward of culture and mission, driving an organization built on trust, transparency, communication, and kindness, while also serving as a trusted advisor and expert in navigating and nurturing our growth. Responsibilities include:
- Act as a strategic advisor and thought partner to the CEO and serve as a valued strategic contributor on the executive team.
- Lead the design, build, and execution of all areas of the People function, including but not limited to: culture, diversity, people operations, total rewards, compensation and benefits analysis, performance management, organizational design, onboarding, and learning and development.
- Design and develop clear operational structures, career progression, and performance management processes to support employees and their growth.
- Implement thoughtful total rewards philosophy to support strategic and operational objectives to hire and retain high-performing talent.
- Build and develop an approach to distributed work across the globe.
- Embed a thoughtful strategy to diversity, equity, and inclusion that attracts, retains, and empowers diverse talent.
- Ensure the organization's design and structure continues to reflect the priorities of the business and its growth strategy, in the near- and long-term.
- Codify and scale what makes the company a great place to work and partner with the organization to evolve culture and values as the organization grows.
Professional Qualifications
- Deep expertise in the People function and a proven record as a transformational leader scaling and developing high-growth companies within a technology or technology-enabled business.
- Experience with blended workforces including US and international locations.
- Proven experience working with the executive leadership team to rapidly scale the business while maintaining a strong company culture.
- Ability to develop cohesive and collaborative people organization in a remote-first environment.
- Proven success in delivering high-impact People programs around onboarding and employee experience, performance development, team engagement, and team retention.
- Ability to add critical value at all levels of the organization.
- Track record as a flexible leader who can operate at a highly strategic level, but can also perform all tactical people-related duties for the company.
