AboveBoard is actively assisting another business to find its next Chief Marketing Officer.
Role and Responsibilities
The company is looking for an entrepreneurial, analytical, results-oriented Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). Reporting directly to the CEO/Founder, the CMO will be responsible for building and leading a world-class, data-driven marketing organization and will work cross-functionally to develop the brand and go-to-market strategy. Specifically, this person will:
- Build and lead a creative, data driven, results-oriented marketing organization
- Own all aspects of the company’s marketing initiatives, including demand generation, brand, creative, product marketing, partner marketing, content marketing, communications/PR, community building, events, insights and analytics.
- Collaborate closely with the executive team to align our corporate, product, and go-to-market strategy, building mindshare and community among our highly technical target audience
Professional Qualifications
- Significant experience developing and leading a comprehensive go-to-market strategy aimed at developers and technical buyers from startups to large enterprises.
- An inspirational and motivating leader, managing high performing marketing teams that market to sophisticated technical personas
- Has an established track record of driving results at early stage companies from $5M-$50M+ in revenue
- Has a deep understanding of the data and cloud ecosystem, enterprise data trends, and related product, marketing, and sales strategies
- A creative storyteller, with excellent writing, visual, and verbal communication skills
- Experience marketing open source software or building developer communities is a huge plus
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, high-growth environment
